My New House

On Friday morning My family got the keys to our new apartment. I have lived in my current house since I was 5 years old so moving isn't a happy thing for me. We went from a house of 8 people to 3 so It makes sense with me leaving in September for my parents to down size. So Friday after work I went straight down to see my new home. Its a cute average size apartment and the best part about it is the fact that it has little details that really gives the place character. We also re did the bathroom and kitchen ( something we have NEVER done).

So since I'm getting a new room I decided I would give myself a little project of designing a "Grown up" room for myself, compared to my current room which looks like a 16 year old lives in it. I picked "Classic vintage " as my new room theme. Trying to be creative looking on the internet I found this dresser and knew I had to attempt to create it.

So since I had the weekend off I made a list to accomplish on what I needed to do. So me along with my three good friend (Farisa, Emily & Berna) were very busy.

1. Paint walls: Purple
2. Pick up the vintage dresser I bought
3. Paint it : Teal
4. Find a antique light fixture
5. celebrate our friends birthday
6. Go to this Dinner party

So as you can see some of them didn't apply to decorating my room  but overall we were really busy AND we didn't get half of it done. My mom kindly asked us to paint her room too which delayed our schedule along with the fact our one antique store turned into a 2.5 hour trip :/.

So looking at what I actually did this weekend were the following:

1. Painted 2 rooms ( Had numerous awkward dance / sing offs while painting)
2. Danced around a empty apartment with a life sized cardboard cut out
3. 2.5 Hour antique shopping ( Bought so many cute little things for decor)
4. Went and bought a cake
5. Went to a yummy dinner
6. Stayed up till 4:30 am watching movies in my friends home theater
7. Lastly All Sunday I packed/ cleaned my cluttered room ( which had like stuff from middle school in there)

Things I am Obsessing over (03/02/13)

1. Thrift Shop- Macklemore & Ryan Lewis:

 This song is so funny and this is how me and my friends act when we thrift. ( were a bit awkward)

2. New Girl: For those who watch it and understand: NICK & JESS

3. Skittles: Never use to like them

 

4. The script: Anything related to them:  Two words: Danny O'Donoghue. Irish. Prefect

10. Niall Horan:
I want no judging. This boy is so precious I can't even deal with life. First off he is blonde and Irish, and I don't even care that he is younger then me. He is talented, can play guitar and most of all we share our common love of food of all kind. His little Bromance with the rest of the band is so cute that I just had to put him on and your judging MEANS nothing <3

9. Jennifer Lawrence
Three words: The Hunger Games: Love it or not  she was remarkable in it.  I love her personality, I feel like me and  her are like the same person ( yet she has 100% more talent than me).  Her love of food and her brutal honestly makes me crush on her.

8.Emma Watson:
AKA: Hermoine Grainger. One of my top Movie series is Harry Potter and if you look at her face you will agree how perfect she is. I know people were spectacle about her playing in anything after Harry Potter but for those who have not seen " Perks of being a WallFlower" I have nothing to say to you. That movie is so perfect and so touching, which is why Emma is so cute and precious.   

7. Scott Disick:
Now I should start off with the fact that I really dislike the Kardashian's, this family is terrible ( except for Khloe ),  But I'm deeply in love with the sass that comes out of this guys mouth. For crying out loud he is wearing a eye patch with his initials and he looks so inspiring for those. People need to give him some credit he is connected with Kourtney I would act like a asshole too. 

6. Zach Galifianakis:
I'm pretty sure this one if pretty self explanatory.  

5. Rebel Wilson:
This girl... is sooo funny I can't even put it into words. For those who have not seen "Pitch Perfect" Please go right now and watch her in it. Even outside of the movie she is so funny everything she says makes me cry from happiness. 

4.Zooey Deschanel:
well first off TAKE A LOOK AT HER!!! she is honestly one of the prettiest people I have ever seen, and come on New girl is one of the best Television shows of all time. I feel like her personality is the same as her characters and I dig that a lot. She was in the movie " Elf" with will Ferrel which is one of my top movies of all time ( even though she was blonde in it, I'm ok with that). To top off my love of her I even named my cute little bunny after her. what a honor. 

3.Tyler Oakely:
Now for those who don't this boy... " I just ... I don't have time for lies". Mr Oakely  is  famous for  his incredibly funny YouTube videos and stalking One Direction. He is so funny and his tweets literally make my day. This is why he deserves to be in the top three. He is one of the top people I wish I could be Best friends with. We would go to Ikea and have life chats everyday. I can dream can't I? 

2.Miley Cyrus
OH Miley, you get so much hate and I don't get it. She is so gorgeous and while her recent acting gigs might not be the greatest she is still talented overall. First of all she is a huge animal lover which is one of the big reasons I love her. ( plus her dogs are so cute). People need to realize this girl is 20 years old and even though I wish she could be Hannah forever she needed to grow up and I think shes all right. Sure she's engaged young, and she drinks, has a new edgy look  and party's with blow up sex dolls, why does it matter? remember a huge lesson she taught us.. "Nobody's Perfect"

1..Demi Lovato :
 I have loved Demi ever since Camp Rock. I was that girl in High school carrying around the camp rock binder pretending I didn't here the judging people all around me. Not only is she gorgeous and talented she is such a inspiring role model who I look up to. I have never met her but i generally feel like she is the nicest person on the earth, and I honestly can't see how people bullied her, and If i ever meet them ill personally kick their asses. This is my girl and anything negative you have to say is irrelevant. The end.

Last Friday Night

" Last Friday night Yeah we danced on tabletops And we took too many shots"... just kidding I went to the movies.... ( I tricked you all for a minute into actually believing I was at a crazy party). Tagging along on my crazy night out was my best friend since I was 8 years old Farisa and my favorite ginger Jessica. The evening started off very frustrating as we got to the theater about 25 minutes early ONLY to find out there was not ONE lousy spot in the parking lot.Leading for us to park about 15 minutes and walking in this freezing cold Canadian weather. The movie we went to go see the thriller " Mama" starring Jessica Chastain, who also starred in the tear jerking movie " The help".

First off I might need to let you know just how big of a horror fan I am. I have been watching Texas Chain saw measured massacre since I was 10 years old. My Dad and I would watch the classic horror originals, the exorcist, Carrie when I was only 5 or 6 years old, something you could say we bonded over. So i thought for this blog post I would share my options and thoughts on this movie. I personally LOVED the concept of the movie and was prepared to give it a top score no matter of what actually happened. The story for those who might not know is about a mom aka "Mama" who raises these 2 little children who were abandoned by there dad ( who mama killed). After 5 years living in a log cabin they are found and sent to live with their uncle and girlfriend. After ending up in the hospital, Annabell takes over the new role as their mother, angering the ghostly figure "Mama" essentially resulting in the ghost trying to kill her. 

Rotten tomatoes gave the movie at 60% but I would def give it at least a 80%. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was the ending, one of the main girls dies ( sorry I spoil everything). It made no sense and was actually quite sad and not scary. Another thing I loved about the movie was the fact that it was that Guillermo del Toro was the Director of the movie. For those who don't know who that is, he was the creator of Spanish film Pan's Labyrinth, which is one of my favorite movies.

Hello current/ future online friends. For those who don't know me my name is Kelly Bailey, I am 20 years old and I'm a student studying advertising at Sheridan College. ( This information is basic BUT important so just pretend this information isn't boring and unnecessary). I like to think of myself as a " classy mess". 

Classy mess: An individual who does the following

1. Gets themselves into awkward situations

2. Lets their life get into disrepair 

3. They are so clumsy and scattered its quite sad 

I don't think of myself as a very fascinating person BUT i do feel like  I am the "Bomb Diggity". I've worked as a cashier at a grocery store for about 3 years now and lets just say if I didn't have some expensive addictions ( meaning: Hockey tickets, clothes) I would quit that place and try to find a job i actually enjoy. 

Now for those who aren't in my class and don't get why all of a sudden I have decided to start a blog, this is for a class assignment and its something I am actually excited to do even though I feel like this will turn into a random collection of my thoughts/ things I want to do verses the things I actually do. 

So in advance I would like to thank you for reading and I apologize if this blog feels more like a diary written by a girl in middle school
